Clarinetist Albert Hunt is a critically acclaimed performer and teacher now living in McLean, Virginia. He earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from The Juilliard School and performs in chamber music and solo concerts throughout the United States, Latin America, Asia and Europe. A dedicated and highly-regarded teacher, Dr. Hunt presents masterclasses at universities in the US, Korea and Germany. He is a sought-after coach with several youth orchestras and public school bands. Students from his studio have earned spots in the finals of national and international competitions and won numerous state-wide competitions. Several of his students have been in both the NAfME * All-Eastern and All-National Bands. For eight of the past nine years, a student from his studio has been principal clarinet of the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra (MCYO) and the Maryland All State Orchestra or Band.
